We date this chair to the early 20th century. The chair sits on two carved Queen Anne legs with ball and claw feet at the front and two curved legs with pad feet at the rear. The chair is upholstered in a heavy woven patterned dark blue material. The armrests sit back from the front of the seat and have been overstuffed to form a scroll arm shape. The arm rests continue back to meet the well padded wing back backrest. The side wings and seat have also been well padded. The fabric has some light wear and the coloured pattern has faded slightly on the seat pad, outside of the wings and arm rests from past use. The legs have a little wear from past use. The chair has an overall height of 47.5" (121cm), an overall width of 29.5" (75cm), an overall depth of 31.5" (80cm), a backrest height of 32" (81cm), a seat height of 17.5" (45cm), a seat width of 20" (51cm) and a seat depth of 22.5 (57cm). This remains a very stylish and elegant armchair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
