Antique High or Wing Back Wicker Armchair, Fireside, Porters, Shepherds

  
A very unusual wicker chair. It has the appearance of an Orkney or Shepherd's chair but without the canopy. Likewise it has similarities with porter's chairs. Lovely patina with elements of the original black paint still remaining.

Uncertain of the age but would assume 1st half of the 20th C. 900mm high x 600mm deep x 550mm wide.

The height from floor to the seat is 340mm but with a small lip of around 25mm. The seat itself slightly dips in the middle but it is totally sound. To be comfortable, the chair needs a seat pad to bring the seat level with the front lip (please note that the cushion in the photos is not included).
